I have just finished reading Love Honour and Royal Blood.I first became aware of "Katharine" by Anya Seton some 30 years ago having been lent the book by a friend. since then I have read several books & studied the period of Katharine's life.I spent my childhood growing up in Kenilworth, so I know all of the places associated with Katharine & John of Gaunt. I would love to have seen Kenilworth castle as john & Katharine did, the place has a very special atmosphere.I also love Lincoln cathedral & what a fitting resting place for this great lady. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the trilogy. Congratulations to Carol Sargeant for an interestinf take on the story of Katharine & John of Gaunt.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It is an interesting personal perspective of one woman's life carefully laid on a framework of the history of the time. Readers unfamiliar with, or disinterested in, British history will find themselves continually drawn into it by references supporting the narrative of Katharine's life. There is, however, no requirement to know history in order to enjoy her story.

My previous comment was about my first encounter with the life of Katherine bought about by reading Anya Seton's book which made me devour 'Love, Honour and Royal Blood'.

I have read the book in my 20's, 30's, 40's 50's and now am reading it in my 60's. each time I have enjoyed it more. I might add it is the only book I have ever read more than once. about 8 years ago I visited the castle Katherine lived in with John. I do not know what draws me to the book but it is wonderful. I eagerly seek the next book.

Loved the book, was a little disappointed that the next one is not ready to be published. I am eagerly awaiting the next chapter in Katharine's life.

I just finished reading Love, Honour and Royal Blood, Katharine Swynford and was totally enthralled. What an insight into the lives of some of the most influential people of the time and told in such an easy to read manner. Well done Carol Sargeant and I look forward to the next book in the series.

Have you considered selling your book as an ebook? I am sure I would not be the only one to download.
